Enabling POP

Troubleshooting Tip

If you are having trouble receiving your email using Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird or other client, be sure to log into your web mail account at gmail.cavtel.net (or gmail.talkamerica.net for TalkAmerica customers) and digitally signing the user agreement. You may also try resetting your password by visiting http://myadmin.cavtel.net.

You can retrieve your Gmail messages with a client or device that supports POP, like Microsoft Outlook or Netscape Mail.

To enable POP in your Gmail account:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
  3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.

  5. Select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on.
  6. Choose the action you'd like your Gmail messages to take after they are accessed with POP.
  7. Configure your POP client* and click Save Changes.
