Troubleshooting Tip
If you are having trouble retrieving your email using Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird or other client, try resetting your password by visiting http://myadmin.cavtel.net.
To set up your Outlook 2007 client to work with Cavalier Gmail:
- Enable IMAP in your Cavalier Gmail account.
- Open Outlook.
- For new setups, select 'Do not upgrade.'
- Select 'Yes.'
- Enter display name, email address (including '@cavtel.net'), and password.

- Click 'Manually configure...'

- Select 'Internet E-mail.'
- Settings: name, full email address (including '@cavtel.net')
- Select IMAP; use given incoming/outgoing servers.
- Username should be full address, including '@cavtel.net.'

Enter your full email address (including '@talkamerica.net')
- After this screen, clicking 'Next' takes you to the end of the setup.

- Select Tools > Options > Mail Setup. Under 'Email Accounts,' click 'E-mail Accounts.' Select account, and click 'Change' above the list of accounts. Click 'More Settings,' then the 'Advanced' tab.
- Incoming server must be 993, and must use SSL encryption.
- Outgoing server can use 587, TLS encryption.

- Click 'Outgoing Server.' Make sure that 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is selected. The radio button 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' should also be selected.

- Click 'OK' > 'Next' > 'Finish' > 'Close' > 'OK.'
